About this site
This is the website of the University of Groningen's 2019 Dutch Studies course "Dutch Contemporary History in an International Perspective". To understand Dutch society, it is necessary to know its recent history. The course provides an introduction to Dutch modern and contemporary history.
The course's 21 students come from all over the world. They have taken an exam on the recent political, economic, and cultural history of the Netherlands. In addition they have conducted research on a topic of individual interest. They present their research on this website. We hope you will enjoy!
