The netherlands' role in the holocaust
history
World War II is a war in which over 6 million Jewish people were killed, due the Nazi belief of Jewish people not being a part of their Aryan brotherhood and being inferior to others. The Jews were stripped of everything they owned and more, making WW II one of the most devastating wars in history. The German invasion of the Netherlands occurred relatively early in the war. In May of 1940, the Netherlands was invaded by their neighboring country, creating shock throughout the whole of the Netherlands. The Dutch endured the Nazi regime for 5 years; however, the country of the Netherlands was liberated on the 5th of May, 1945 by the help of allies.
